Get a sneak peek at the incredible immersive experience offered by today’s latest stereoscopic 3D technology. This virtual reality (VR) video is just one example of the incredible technology companies can use to develop healthcare marketing videos that showcase capabilities within hospitals, pharmacies and medical clinics. To view our VR video, please ensure you select at least 2160s quality under the YouTube settings. For full 3D 360 capabilities, please use a mobile-enabled virtual reality headset like Google Cardboard or a virtual reality system (Oculus Go, HTC Vive).
Video is a powerful tool for engaging with audiences in a way that’s entertaining and easy to digest. And today’s technology allows for a truly immersive experience. Plenty of companies employ healthcare marketing videos to demonstrate how their capabilities make their customers’ lives easier—and customers appreciate the real-life context this medium provides. Plus, a fully-produced video can showcase information in an up-close-and-personal manner (one that static digital or printed collateral alone can’t convey).
In the case of Matrix Medical Network, a novel approach to healthcare marketing videos allows viewers to explore their new mobile health clinic without ever having to step foot inside. Matrix wanted to market the launch of their new mobile health clinic fleet, the largest in the nation, which resulted from their acquisition of HealthFair. However, there was no physical way to bring the 40-foot “clinic on wheels” to this client’s most important industry trade show—the RISE risk management conference.
Fortunately, Activate Health had an idea that would allow Matrix to make a splash at RISE and generate unprecedented excitement around the new mobile fleet. Drawing on the popularity of VR-driven healthcare marketing videos as a means of connecting with audiences, we developed a 2-minute video using virtual reality that walks viewers through an entire mobile health clinic, including clinical laboratory and medical assessment rooms, a fully-stocked treatment room with ultrasound equipment and a 9-person waiting room area complete with a pullout. It details all of the ways that Matrix engages health plan members, while adding excitement and visual interest to their patient support and education processes. It also walks viewers through each room, pointing out the sophisticated equipment and clinical staff members involved in closing gaps in care and improving health outcomes.
The result? Hundreds of conference attendees viewed the VR-enabled healthcare marketing video, which was placed on the client’s website to explain how their engagement model drives unsurpassed engagement levels. Incredibly, the entire video was completed—from script development to video shoot and post production—in just four weeks. Matrix also leveraged the video for numerous PR and social media opportunities, reaching organizations across the industry. This novel approach positioned Matrix as an innovative provider of community healthcare solutions and served as a great example of how virtual reality can enhance the impact of healthcare marketing videos.
