That’s why we recently made the decision to bring on board Sandi Sonnenfeld as our Public Relations Director to oversee this important function. Sandi will help our clients develop and implement proven strategies and techniques to secure high value trade, business and consumer media coverage.
Sandi brings more than 20 years of public relations and corporate communications experience, with a strong focus on thought-leadership campaigns and high-stakes media relations. Over the years, she has developed and placed more than 250 articles and secured more than 800 interviews in the top mainstream and trade news outlets, including The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Associated Press, Thompson Reuters, Forbes, Inc., Bloomberg BusinessWeek, Huff Post, Med City News, Pharmaceutical Executive, Benefits PRO and Fierce Biotech.
Sandi has worked in a freelance, in-house and agency capacities with numerous healthcare and life sciences companies, most recently Teladoc Health, the world’s largest virtual care network and Health Quest (now Nuvance), the leading healthcare and hospital system provider in New York’s Mid-Hudson Valley. Other healthcare clients have included Pfizer, Novartis, GSK, Medtronic, Complete Genomics, Blue Cross-Blue Shield of Michigan, McKesson, Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center and The Hope Heart Institute at Providence Medical Center. While at Publicis Dialog, the PR arm of marketing communications giant Publicis, Sandi helped launched soma.com, the nation’s first Internet pharmacy, which largely as a result of substantial media coverage attracted the attention of CVS, which acquired the startup six months after it launched for 15 times its value.
Sandi is based in New York, which allows her to not only build strong working relationships with reporters at the most respected mainstream and business news media in the United States, but also arrange deskside briefings for our clients with leading healthcare trade outlets. She also has significant social media experience, particularly when it comes to attracting prospects and clients via LinkedIn. Particularly noted for her ability to translate complex concepts and medical, legal and technology jargon into plain English, Sandi also helps healthcare clients in need of crisis communications support or in restoring a company’s reputation following a crisis.
The winner of two PRSA Silver Anvil Awards, the highest national recognition bestowed in the public relations field, Sandi holds a BA in English from Mount Holyoke College and an MFA in Fiction Writing from the University of Washington.
